    Please join community partners, organizations, agencies and volunteers for the monthly Coalition round table discussion centered on a holistic approach to addressing the challenges that face the people of Franklin County and the Apalachicola watershed region. With and emphasis on organizational collaboration and building human capacity, the "Prosper Franklin Team" will focus on sustainable long term goals which impact quality of life, quality human services, economic diversification and job growth, education and workforce development, as well as, building and bridging social capital.

    Please join community partners, organizations, agencies and volunteers for the Seniors Care Network meeting. This group of agencies, volunteers and nonprofits have unified resources to support senior citizens in Franklin County. After a survey of who and how seniors are provided services, it became apparent that no one entity could provide all of the services needed across the county. The need to collaborate and maximize resources became the focus for Franklin's Promise Coalition and the Seniors Care Network meets monthly. Focus areas for the group are, access to food, transportation, housing, social activities and services which assist seniors to remain as independent as possible.

    Food distribution is located at the South side of the building beginning at 9:30 am and ending at noon. Distributions are usually on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month. Holiday schedules may change.

    To qualify to receive food you must complete a short form, The Emergency Food Assistance Program Certification, which states that you meet the income guidelines for the United States Department of Agriculture.

    In between our regular distributions, we also receive fresh vegetables from Farm Share on a regular basis. This is also distributed on Tuesdays until gone. When we have fresh food items it is posted on Facebook. Please go to Franklin County Food Pantry and like the page so you will be notified when we have items available.

    This collaborative  of agencies, organizations, and volunteers work improve the well being of area youth by engaging community and agency resources, expertise and creativity to: (a) to network and improve access to quality services and assist partners in eliminating barriers for youth stability and growth  (b) streamlining, and preventing fragmentation of critical services (c) identifying unmet needs and determining strategies and resources to address those needs (d) informing and educating individuals on challenges, resources and opportunities which impact youth (e) and promoting positive youth development while emphasizing the reduction of substance abuse and other negative behaviors among youth.
